We take a keen interest in emergency communication preparedness. Our primary role is to act as a national representative body of IECRO (international) within the Republic of Ireland.

Applications for IECRO international registration [1] or membership of IECRO Ireland [2] should be made via the IECRO website [3].

Training Courses: Every few months we run a number of advanced/supplementary radio theory classes, with a strong emphasis on international best practices in disaster management.

These are specifically aimed at teaching registrants how to become better skilled licensed operators, which can be of help to them within their own teams/groups. We also provide some basic training in terms of license-exempt services.

In addition to running these above courses, our club has a Technical Panel which can advise newly licensed emergency operators how to setup their fixed stations and how to operate mobile or portable.
